I want to talk about planning your day. Now planning your day, I don't just mean getting your schedule and taking a look at what you have and setting some other things in there where you have free time.
No, I'm not talking about that. What I'm talking about is something that we learned from Ed Mylett and that is to actually think about those interactions you're going to be having. So take a look at your schedule, look at the meetings you have planned and think about how you want them to go. Plan every conversation in your head. Now, it may not go that way, it probably won't go that way, but by doing this you avoid reacting. You already have a plan. Your brain is already thinking about how you want to structure these conversations. How you want the deal to turn go. How you want the closing to be. If you're in sales how you want that deal to end up, obviously with a signed contract right. So if you already preplan for this your mind is going to work toward getting you there. Same with everything, anything in business, if you preplan it your mind is going to work toward getting you there. It's going to work to find the resources you need, it's going to work to give you the education you need and it's going to work for you to say the right things. So plan your day. This is something I tell my kids before they go to school, think about how their day is going to go, think about the classes that they have, if there's anything that's difficult or if they have difficult people to deal with they should plan those interactions. So what I have to share with you today is to take a little time this morning whether you're waiting for your coffee, sitting in traffic or hanging out before work, I know a lot of us don't have that time but some do. And if you just mentally go through your schedule or look at your schedule and think about how you want every conversation to go. Your day will be so much better for it.
